It makes a perfect kind of sense: As the Prime Video adaptation of Robert Jordan’s The Wheel of Time series continues, so do the audiobooks narrated by series star Rosamund Pike. Macmillan Audio announced today that Pike has narrated new versions of The Great Hunt and The Dragon Reborn, which will soon join the previously released version of The Eye of the World on audiobook shelves!
An award-winning actress, Pike has narrated other audiobooks as well, including Paula Hawkins’ A Slow Fire Burning and Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice. In a statement, she said:
It is such an honour to go back into the series and record these next two books. … The deeper I dive into the world of the Wheel of Time, the more I love it. Anyone discovering these books for the first time has a treat in store… there is so much passion and detail in every character. I love the narration process and am in awe of this man’s imagination!
Previous editions of The Great Hunt and The Dragon Reborn, narrated by Michael Kramer and Kate Reading, will still be available.
The Pike-read version of The Great Hunt will be published August 2, 2022, while The Dragon Reborn arrives in 2023.
